“The Associated Press reports that Seattle Mariners C Jeff Clement will see some time at first base during the second half of the season.”
This little blurb is on several sites right now, but I can’t find a source article, so I can only assume it hasn’t been published yet.
Though the Mariners are probably just trying to get […]

A look at why it may make sense, despite Seattle’s current position in the AL West, and an indication of how much it would cost.
There has been a lot of talk about Ken Griffey Jr. returning to the Seattle Mariners ever since the Reds rolled into town for interleague play last season. There hasn’t been […]

First of all, tough ballgame tonight. I missed most of it but when I got into my car I was greeted with something along the lines of this:

GM Bill Bavasi may have had us all fooled. We’ve all been sitting around debating why the hell Jeff Clement hadn’t been called up, but Bavasi might have been just doing his job.
How this slipped past everyone I will never know, but a Seattle based radio program was reporting that by leaving Clement in the minor leagues until May 8th it […]

In the current Seattle Mariners lineup there is a black hole that sucks up rallies and spits out strikeouts, popups and soft grounders. You’ve undoubtedly been frustrated and disappointed by this stretch in the lineup if you’ve watched even a couple games this season.
As I’m sure you know, this “black hole” includes Jose Vidro, Richie […]
