Benny Looper Leaves
by Jon Shields ~ October 29th, 2008
VP of Player Personnel Benny Looper has left the Seattle Mariners organization after a couple decades of service. Depending on what report you read, he either quit on his own accord or was offered a demotion and decided to seek employment elsewhere.
A lot of people expected Looper to be fired before someone like Bob Fontaine, but now they’re both gone. As far as I can tell, Looper wasn’t a great asset to this franchise and we’re probably better off with one of Jack Zduriencik’s men filling his spot.

Eh, I’m happy he left.
