- Seattle P-I: JJ Putz was upset after not being brought in for the save in Tuesday night’s game.
- Prospect Insider: Brandon Morrow’s latest start wasn’t as successful as it could have been, but he is still on track. Sidebar: Top prospects Greg Halman and Adam Moore, as well as Joe Woerman, Gabby Hernandez, Justin Thomas and two others will be playing in the Arizona Fall League.
- Farm Report: Matt Tuiasosopo’s turning into a legitimate prospect.
- Detect-o-Vision: Erik Bedard should be extended while his value is low.
- Seattle Times: Joey Cora could be in the running to become Seattle’s next manager.
- Random Fact: Glen Perkins, one of the talented young starters Seattle was foolishly trying to pry from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for Jarrod Washburn earlier this month, was the 22nd pick of the 2004 draft. That 22nd pick originally belonged to Seattle, but was given to Minnesota as compensation when the Mariners signed Eddie Guardado.
