Series Thread: M’s host ChiSox 5/9-5/11

by Jon Shields ~ May 9th, 2008

Friday and Saturday’s games start at 7:10 pm PST, Sunday’s game starts at 1:10 pm PST.

Pitching Probables:

5/09 - Carlos Silva vs. Jose Contreras
5/10 - Jarrod Washburn vs. Javier Vasquez
5/11 - Miguel Batista vs. Gavin Floyd

I’m not going to bother with splits and whatever else this time, Seattle just needs to get on the board.   We have our worst pitchers going against some of their better pitchers, so it’s not looking too good for the Mariner offense.  Hopefully Thursday night’s skirmish sparked something and Seattle can start their assent through the AL West standings.

Juan Uribe is the most ackward looking player in the box and out on the field since Mickey Tettleton….

I cannot believe Seattle is the worst team in the American League and the 2nd worst team in all of baseball.

What happened to “After the injuries to the Angels’ pitching staff, the Seattle Mariners are now the favorites to win the AL West”?

Seems like all our hitters realized they were overperforming last year and decided to make up for it this year by horribly underperforming….

wow that felt like a lot longer than just a 5 game losing streak.

And the bats finally came alive today….Lets hope we can build on this win…Balentien, Lopez and Ichiro are really hitting the ball well right now. Beltre and Raul look like they could be coming around also…
