April 25 - Miguel Batista vs. Dana Eveland
April 26 - Erik Bedard vs. Justin Duchscherer
April 27 - Felix Hernandez vs. Joe Blanton

Game 1 players to watch:

Conquering hero(s): Ichiro (.326 lifetime against Oakland), Raul Ibanez (14 career homers against Oakland, t-2nd for most against a single team), Yuni Betancourt (.297 lifetime against Oakland), Richie Sexson (slugging .585 against pitchers of Eveland’s style) and, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, Willie Bloomquist (2 career homers against Oakland, his most against any one team).

Achilles’ heal(s): Miguel Batista (5.23 ERA against Oakland)

Game 2 players to watch:

Conquering hero(s): Ichiro (.333 against Duchsherer [24 AB]; I think we’ll see his name here quite a bit)

Game 3 players to watch:

Conquering hero: Felix Hernandez (6-2, 2.10 ERA vs. Oakland), Jose Vidro (.357 career hitter against Blanton), Yuni Betancourt (.946 OPS lifetime against Blanton), Kenji Johjima (.346 average lifetime facing Blanton)

Not looking so good so far…

  2. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    We should have taken Thomas

  3. Brian (219 comments)

Felix vs. Blanton should be a good one on Sunday……and Miggy can’t throw strikes…

  4. Brian (219 comments)

I agree….I wanted us to go get Thomas pretty bad.

  5. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

At least the next 2 games should be wins

  6. Brian (219 comments)

You’d think so but who knows what could happen…WOW this is getting ugly. Is Miggy even going to make it out of the inning?

  7. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    Rick Ankiel style meltdown

  8. Brian (219 comments)

I can’t believe he got out of the inning only giving up 3 runs…

  9. Jon Shields (451 comments)

It’s fitting that Thomas actually gets a hit and RBI against us. Watch him homer later on. Did any of you read how Thomas said Seattle didn’t know if he fit on the team with Vidro there? I couldn’t belive that when I read it, and luckily I was baffled enough by the Kenji thing that I didn’t post a mini rant about it.

Did we really have to give up 3 runs in the first? Hasn’t Batista seen the stats when we’re behind? And what hapened to his secret new method to pitching??

  10. Brian (219 comments)

Wow, I can’t believe that Seattle would want to keep Vidro over acquiring Frank Thomas. That just seems ridiculous to me.

And Batista pitched about as well in the 1st as I could have. Although I might have a better breaking ball than Batista.

  11. Brian (219 comments)

Maybe we can get some of this back right here…

  12. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

at least the hitting looks good so far…

would look better with Thomas instead of Vidro

  13. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I’m doing the MLB.com pitch-by-pitch… not as cool as TV. ha.

  14. Brian (219 comments)

Yeah, following the game on the internet just isn’t as fun as watching on TV. I don’t think that was a strike…

  15. Brian (219 comments)

Way to be patient out there Vidro…

  16. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    chippin away…

  17. Brian (219 comments)

I bet Batista doesn’t make it out of this inning…

  18. Brian (219 comments)

    Stick a fork in him…

  19. Jon Shields (451 comments)

RA Dickey could come in handy about now.

Someone tell me 1 good reason why Seattle hasn’t DFA’d Baek.

  20. Brian (219 comments)

    Uhhhhhhhhhh……ya got me…..

  21. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Jon, I don’t know about Baek, but if Batista really is hurt we’ll see Dickey again real soon.

  22. Jon Shields (451 comments)

As I mentioned I’m not watching the game, just the pitch-by-pitch. What the hell happened to Batista? Did he do something noteable or just “tweak” something?

Could explain his crappy pitching. We really don’t need this injury if it’s serious.

  23. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Niehaus seemed to think he was hurt. Before he got pulled McLaren brought trainers with him to the mound. Something just definitely wasn’t right. He didn’t look comfortable at all.

  24. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Nice to see you in here angrybeltre. Everyone click on his name, he’s got a pretty nice M’s site over there. A lot of info.

The pitch-by-pitch said ‘injuy delay’, so I assumed some trainers went out there.

Either that or McLaren is just rolling with a new crew.

  25. Brian (219 comments)

I think he just tweaked something…They haven’t talked about it much since he left…Against a good hitting team we’d be down about 7 nothing…

    Wow…Richie got a single…ONE THE 1ST PITCH!!

  26. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Geoff Baker says the word from the team is ‘mild right groin strain’

  27. Jon Shields (451 comments)

^fantastic… groin injuries can be really touchy.

  28. Brian (219 comments)

Hmmmm….I wonder if it’s severe enough where he’ll miss a start or two…

    Johjima showing off the wheels….;)

  29. Brian (219 comments)

Come on Yuni…Time for your first HR of the year….

  30. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Yuni has more homers against the A’s than against any other club.. though it’s only 4 ;-)

  31. Brian (219 comments)

Well #5 right there would have been great…Now, lets see if Baek can hold the deficit at 3.

  32. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    ^to 2.

  33. Brian (219 comments)

    Oh yeah….duh…..

  34. Brian (219 comments)

Well….looks like it might soon be a 3 run deficit…

  35. Jon Shields (451 comments)

So how long does Lopez keep this up?

  36. Brian (219 comments)

    I don’t know but I hope all season…He’s looking like he wants to prove his 2006 All-Star appearance wasn’t a fluke…

  37. Jon Shields (451 comments)

He’ll get there again too this year (as a reserve aka not voted in). I think he’s leading all 2B in RBI, or at least he was for a while.

  38. Brian (219 comments)

Yeah I think that he still is…He’s arguably been our best all-around hitter so far this year…

  39. Brian (219 comments)

I know he’s leading in RBI’s for guys batting in the two hole…

  40. Jon Shields (451 comments)

^mm maybe that was the stat i heard.

  41. Brian (219 comments)

    Wow….4 pitch inning…

  42. Brian (219 comments)

Yeah because Utley is most certainly leading in RBI’s for 2nd basemen overall…although Lopez might lead AL 2B

  43. Brian (219 comments)

How much longer can we afford to have Vidro, Sexson and Johjima hitting back to back to back??

Seems like it makes it very hard to field a productive lineup with 3 guys that a struggling mightily all hitting one after another.

  44. Jon Shields (451 comments)

there– post finished. that’ll do for this series. I completely forgot about it.

  45. Brian (219 comments)

Nice…I like that set up for the Series’ posts.

  46. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    Sexson needs to go now

  47. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

At least Baek is doing well

  48. Brian (219 comments)

I’ve most definitely run out of patience for Sexson…

Baek has actually looked good this game…8 straight retired…

  49. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I am a huge Richie fan because he’s from the little town right next to mine and I liked him when he was pounding in Milwaukie, thus making me a supporter over the past couple years even when I shouldn’t be, but yeah he needs to go.

Somewhere I read the ideal situation where Clement is called up and DHs, Raul moves to 1B and Wlad takes over in the outfield with Richie being waived or traded. That’s starting to sound OK to me, I guess. Even though he kills the rallys, his raw power alone would be tough to part with, however.

  50. Brian (219 comments)

    Wow….what a play by Suzuki…

And that situation sounds pretty good to me Jon…

  51. angrybeltre (41 comments)

I’m loving the scenario, too. But who do the M’s bring in to fix right? I can’t see Wilkerson ever becoming a good option, Willie either obviously.

  52. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Trade.. but who?

btw, I have this godawful feeling that Bavasi is going to trade Clement for some schmuck like Jason Bay.

  53. Brian (219 comments)

Well, ideally Wlad would bounce back quickly from his injury and start knocking the cover off the ball down in AAA so we could call him up to play right…

12 straight for Baek and a 10 pitch inning….Now if we could just take away the 1st inning…

  54. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Things would be so much easier if only Jeremy Reed could hit and keep himself healthy. Then Bavasi wouldn’t have to blow a lot of talent on a dumb trade.

  55. Brian (219 comments)

    Come on Beltre!!!

  56. Brian (219 comments)

By the way, Baek’s performance is helping the pen’s #’s…

  57. Brian (219 comments)

come on vidro…….(shakes head, and thinks about Frank Thomas)….

  58. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

come on keep the runs comin…

  59. Brian (219 comments)

This would be an AWESOME time for #300…

  60. Brian (219 comments)

    WOW….that is not a strike on Sexson…

  61. Brian (219 comments)

I’ll take it….now we need a hit to tie it…

  62. Jon Shields (451 comments)

We live and die by the sacrifice fly.

    That should be our slogan.

  63. Brian (219 comments)

So…we’ve only given up 3 hits but are down 4-3….Baek is looking great…If only he had started the game instead of Miggy…

  64. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Blog note for all 2 or 3 people that may see this :D: You can get to the latest Series Thread by clicking the link in the “Navigation” menu. I’m going to make something more prominent over the weekend though.

  65. angrybeltre (41 comments)

What else you guys thinking for other gray nav. bars on the top?

  66. Brian (219 comments)

If you guys are planning on doing more surveys a link to all the site survey results might be kinda cool…

  67. Brian (219 comments)

4 for 4 for Lopez….He’s looking like an All-Star second baseman…I’m SO GLAD we didn’t give up on him…

  68. Jon Shields (451 comments)

What else you guys thinking for other gray nav. bars on the top?

I’m not sure what you’re asking.

  69. Brian (219 comments)

We HAVE TO get a win tonight….We can’t afford to fall much farther back…

  70. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    GAME 2 DISCUSSION STARTS HERE

I’m going to try and have numbers placed on the comments, so that I can make a note in the post that says “Game 2 discussion starts after comment #69″ or whatever.

  71. Jon Shields (451 comments)

ok I added a pic/link in the upper right-hand corner.

  72. Rob T. (155 comments)

1-2-3 inning. Nice work by Bedard.

  73. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Did he look good? I missed the top of the 1st.

  74. angrybeltre (41 comments)

he got Sweeney and Ellis to bite on nasty curves. It was pretty sweet.

  75. Jon Shields (451 comments)

i love how ichiro tracks flyballs. it’s like he’s trying to fool everyone on whether he’ll get it or not.

  76. Brian (219 comments)

Think the bats can come alive again tonight?

  77. Brian (219 comments)

I’ve always thought that Ichiro often looks confused when tracking flyballs…

  78. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Think the bats can come alive again tonight?

i don’t know.. most of the guys don’t have much success against Duchsherer, except for Ichiro and Norton.

  79. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Bedard’s motion is looking really really deliberate. I’m not sure he’s 100%.

  80. Brian (219 comments)

Maybe we won’t need much the way Bedard is looking so far.

  81. Brian (219 comments)

I always thought Bedard’s motion looked incredibly deliberate and slow…

  82. Rob T. (155 comments)

His motion has always looked like that.

  83. Brian (219 comments)

Shows the confidence that McLaren has in Sexson….Norton is batting in front of him….

  84. angrybeltre (41 comments)

You’re probably right. I didn’t see him pitch much when he was in Baltimore, and I missed one of his starts this year.

  85. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Shows the confidence that McLaren has in Sexson….Norton is batting in front of him….

Sexson has been batting 6th behind Vidro, so it’s no difference.

  86. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    gotta protect the plate, richie…

  87. Brian (219 comments)

Well, generally when a guy comes in as a sub he doesn’t automatically take the same spot in the order…If they have an confidence in Sexson he’d bat higher when Vidro isn’t playing…

  88. Brian (219 comments)

There’s a GIANT HOLE in the middle of our batting order….

  89. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Wilkerson was easily the dud move of the offseason. I just don’t get it.

  90. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Well, I would rather have Norton starting over Vidro anyway, and I think Norton is certainly better suited for the 5-hole than Vidro is, so it’s not really a typical situation. If Bloomquist was hitting in front of Sexson then you have a point.

  91. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Freddy Garcia? for the trivia?

  92. Brian (219 comments)

At what point do we move Yuni up in the order so we don’t have 3 easy outs in the middle of the order?

I know have Yuni in the 9 hole creates a dynamic when Ichiro follows but right now I’d put Yuni higher so we don’t have 3 nearly guaranteed outs consecutively…

  93. Brian (219 comments)

What was the trivia question? I missed it…

  94. Jon Shields (451 comments)

92 MPH on that strikeout fastball by Bedard.. I think that’s the fastest he’s hit all year. That’s encouraging. He had been in the high-80s before the DL stint.

  95. Jon Shields (451 comments)

What was the trivia question? I missed it…

I think it was something like “what Mariner starter recorded the most wins in his first season?” or something like that. I dunno if that means in their rookie season, or in their first stint with the club or whatever. I believe Freddy has the rookie record at 17.

  96. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    nice Bedard!

    Wilkerson and Sexson must go

  97. Brian (219 comments)

Richie is off to a great start???…..Mariners All Access just lost all credibility….

  98. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Richie did do a good job deceiving everybody until a couple weeks ago during that stretch were he was getting walked like crazy.

  99. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    ^true

  100. Brian (219 comments)

WOW….Jamie Burke is REALLY REALLY SLOW….

  101. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    you gotta love Yuni

  102. Jon Shields (451 comments)

WOW….Jamie Burke is REALLY REALLY SLOW….

I would pay big money to see a race around the bases between Burke, Vidro, Johjima and maybe Sexson.

    I <3 Yu-Bet

  103. Brian (219 comments)

    That a baby!

Now lets get a few more….

  104. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

Rajai Davis has the arm of a 12 yr old

  105. Jon Shields (451 comments)

where would we be without ichiro…

  106. angrybeltre (41 comments)

I’d pay just to see Richie lap the bases by himself. Extra money if he’d attempt one of his awkward slides home.

  107. Brian (219 comments)

Maybe throw a couple pitchers in that race also….Like Rhodes, Felix and JJ…

  108. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Duch has a great move to first. Ichi could have been called out on either of those

  109. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

I want to see Silva in that race

  110. Brian (219 comments)

Yeah I forgot Silva….He might pull up the rear….

  111. Brian (219 comments)

I honestly think Ichiro could round the bases one and a half times before Silva, Burke, Johjima and Vidro could round them once…

  112. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

haha They would all beat Thomas

  113. Brian (219 comments)

Yeah probably Thomas defines slow….Although if he had to race someone he could probably just beat any challenger to submission first and then walk the length of the race….

….And Thomas proves my point as I type…

  114. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

58 pitches through 4… kind of alot for a no hitter

  115. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Richie cheated a bit on that one, but it worked out. Way to turn on it, Richie!

(haha he looks completely winded at second)

  116. Brian (219 comments)

    Come on Wilkerson….knock em in….

  117. angrybeltre (41 comments)

Richie really does have to tuck his arms in for most hits…that guy is just too big to look natural playing baseball…

  118. Brian (219 comments)

    I’ll take it….

  119. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    better lucky than good!

  120. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    that will work…

  121. angrybeltre (41 comments)

    Yuni is on fire tonight.

  122. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Just found a great read on Jeff Clement’s batspeed. Very interesting. Makes me like him even more.

  123. Brian (219 comments)

Bedard is making me rethink my recent condemning of the trade for him….

  124. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Bedard is argueably the best pitcher in the american league when he’s healthy. We got a great player, but it’s silly for us to expect more than 27-28 starts from him.

Looks like he’s losening up and turning back farther in his windup. Good sign.

  125. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    300th double!

  126. Brian (219 comments)

I know Bedard has the potential but I just don’t think he can stay very healthy…And Sherrill and Jones have PUNISHED us this year….

  127. angrybeltre (41 comments)

If and when Wlad comes up, we’ll feel better about giving Jones away. Sherrill really has dominated in the early going though.

  128. Brian (219 comments)

Nice….Norton coming through with some insurance….

  129. Rob T. (155 comments)

Sherrill has only dominated against us. What do you expect him to blow saves. When a guy is the closer he is going to come in when they have the lead so he’s going to get saves if the team is winning which they are.

  130. Jon Shields (451 comments)

We could have a great outfield in a few years. Wlad-Ichiro-Saunders maybe and then after Ichiro retires perhaps Halman will be ready. We have some pretty good talent at the position.

  131. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Bedard is the best we’ve seen him this year. A little wild, but this is the guy we paid for.

  132. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    Good game Bedard

  133. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Brian LaHair is playing LF in Tacoma today. I dunno if he typically does that, but maybe Seattle is looking for other outfield options outside of Reed and Wlad.

Wlad still isn’t in the lineup, btw.

  134. Brian (219 comments)

    Oh boy….Here we go…

  135. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Rhodes scares me still, even though he’s been overall effective.

  136. Brian (219 comments)

Rhodes just isn’t the same without his earrings…

  137. Rob T. (155 comments)

Thats Interesting on Lahair. He has played 4 games in the OF before this year.

  138. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Woooo Arthur is still diamond studded! Tight spot.. *sigh of relief

“The old man from Texas”.. haha

  139. Brian (219 comments)

“The old man from Texas getting it done!”….I bet Arthur is gonna love when he hears that call…

  140. Brian (219 comments)

There are a whole lot of A’s I’ve never heard of in the game right now…

  141. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I knew Yuni was going to get picked off over there. He didn’t look comfortable.

  142. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

nice throw by the guy who caught the homer

  143. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I’m still not sold on Morrow. He didn’t look good. He relied on throwing his fastball down the middle once he lost the contol on his breaking stuff. If he threw that same pitch to Thomas 5 years ago it would have been hit 500 feet.

Rhodes I’m coming around on, though.

  144. Brian (219 comments)

I love me some Jose Lopez…

  145. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    he is on fire

  146. Brian (219 comments)

Morrow just needs some more time to refine himself…You gotta remember he was pitching for Cal this time two years ago….

  147. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Exactly. He should be in the minor leagues.

  148. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Norton for full-time DH!

  149. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Wow, Bloomquist pinch hitting. That shows how bad Wilkerson is, no matter who is pitching.

  150. Brian (219 comments)

….and I officially nominate Norton to be our new DH…

  151. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    agreed

  152. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Vidro will be in Sunday, at least he should. He kills off of Blanton. But Norton should get some more playing time.

  153. Jon Shields (451 comments)

The pitcher Braden has a big-ass fro.

  154. Brian (219 comments)

    What position does Norton play?

  155. Brian (219 comments)

Because I’m guessing he should be getting some time in RF also….

  156. Jon Shields (451 comments)

1B primarily, and he can get by at 3B (i think) and the corner outfield spots. He’s probably a liability anywhere but 1st though.

  157. Brian (219 comments)

Hell….give him some time at first if he can continue hitting when he gets PT…

  158. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Man.. Putz is NEVER this wild. Just rusty, I imagine. Good thing we got that insurance.

  159. Brian (219 comments)

Is this now a save opportunity since the tying run is at the plate?

  160. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Must be because he’s growing a moustache…

I dont believe it’s a save opportunity until another run scores, but I don’t know for certain.

  161. Brian (219 comments)

    Now it’s a save opportunity…

  162. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Oh good, I have Putz on one of my fantasy teams.. haha :P

Just playin.. he needs to end this right now.

  163. Brian (219 comments)

Wow….seems like he’s getting squeezed a little bit by the ump….

    ….and now a base hit ties it….

  164. Brian (219 comments)

    That’ll help a lot…Slam the door with a K JJ

  165. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Did they give the Moose blonde hair? Is that what I just saw..?

OK one more. STRIKE ‘EM OUT, JJ!!!!

  166. Brian (219 comments)

It did seem like the hair on the moose was a little bit lighter….

    THAT’S A STRIKE DAMNIT!!!!

  167. Brian (219 comments)

    Wow….I can’t believe what I’m seeing…

  168. Brian (219 comments)

    PHEW!!!

And yes, the Moose has blonde hair….

  169. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    go mariners

    felix tomorrow

    welcome back Bedard

  170. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Heart attack…

    M’s needed this win.

  171. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I can’t wait to watch Felix. Him and Bedard are a fun 1-2 to watch.

  172. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Jen Mueller is awful.

    Angels lose!

  173. Brian (219 comments)

Ah yes….Happy Felix day tomorrow everybody

  174. Brandon (97 comments)

I haven’t watched a single game this year….living in iowa SUCKS!!! I can’t wait for summer vacation so i can take part in these threads..

  175. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    GAME 3 DISCUSSION STARTS HERE

    day game!!

  176. Jon Shields (451 comments)

Today’s lineup reflects poorly on the coaching staff, in my opinion. Greg Norton is in again, which is fine because he may be one of the better hitters right now, but he shouldn’t be in for Vidro. If you see the post above, Vidro hits .357 against Blanton, while Sexson and Wilkerson (two guys Norton could sub in for) are hitting just .167. Vidro needs to play on matchups like that if he’s ever going to break out of his slump, so it’s puzzling to me. Sure, Sexson or Wilkerson could have a great game, but I think you need to look at the numbers when platooning. You’d think someone would see that..?

Felix is looking SICK so far….He’s got his nasty stuff….

  178. Brian (219 comments)

And as far as today’s lineup….I don’t think McLaren looks at numbers PERIOD….

  179. Brian (219 comments)

Just sit back and watch the show…..

  180. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Felix is amazing today.

    YUNI!!

  181. Brian (219 comments)

Any chance this game is done by 3 o’clock?

  182. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Could be.. it’s breezing by.

I think Felix is a legit candidate or even front runner for Cy Young. Right now Cliff Lee is the only one better, and I don’t see him keeping it up.

  183. Brian (219 comments)

Chien Ming-Wang might have an argument for Cy Young too…5-0 and he plays for the Yankees….

A little trouble in paradise here…

  184. Brian (219 comments)

    KKKKKKK

  185. Jon Shields (451 comments)

ahh yeah I always forget about Wang because he’s not the dominate type. I think the King can do it though.

Another full count… this is getting old quick.

  186. Brian (219 comments)

    KKKKKKKK

  187. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Another K! Amazing!

  188. Brian (219 comments)

Wow….it’s like Felix is throwing a whiffle ball out there….

  189. Brian (219 comments)

Good to see a decent outing from Blanton…He’s on my fantasy team ;)

  190. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I have Felix on one of my teams :-)

  191. Brian (219 comments)

Lucky you…The BBT league is my first time doing fantasy baseball….

…and I’m getting my ass kicked so far…

  192. Jon Shields (451 comments)

BBT league is my first time too, but I’m in another league that is a total joke (just 6 teams.. true “fantasy” teams). You’re middle of the pack at least.

Jack Cust is helping us out today.

  193. Brian (219 comments)

Well, I’m middle of the pack right now but I’m getting my ass kicked this week so I’ll probably be in the bottom 4 tomorrow…

  194. Jon Shields (451 comments)

I’m about to get my first loss so far.

  195. Brian (219 comments)

I’m about to move to 1-3…

  196. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Felix el Rey!!!!!!

  197. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    x10!!!!!

  198. Brian (219 comments)

    Wow….just wow….

    KKKKKKKKKK

  199. Brian (219 comments)

Felix is looking like the pitcher that every Mariner fan has dreamed he could be for the last three years…

  200. Jon Shields (451 comments)

he’s striking out a lot more this year it seems. haven’t looked at the ratios, just guessing. but it seems like a lot more.

  201. Brian (219 comments)

Hmmmm….is something wrong with our $100 million dollar roof???….

Yeah, it does seem like Felix has been striking out more people this year. I attribute it to the development of his nasty change up…

  202. Thunderstruck (48 comments)

    wow this sucks

I cant even watch Felix’s domination because of stupid local blackouts

  203. Brian (219 comments)

    Your missing a hell of a show…

…From both pitcher really but Felix has been incredible…

  204. Brian (219 comments)

Uh oh….this could be big trouble…

  205. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    C’mon one more K felix!

  206. Jon Shields (451 comments)

oh no.. and morrow’s going to probably come in and blow it. double play c’mon!!!

  207. Brian (219 comments)

    We need #1 here BAD….

  208. Brian (219 comments)

    Son of a bitch….

  209. Jon Shields (451 comments)

what a waste of a good outing.. :-(

  210. Brian (219 comments)

    Yeah….he looked so good for 7 innings….

  211. Brian (219 comments)

And we haven’t even touched Blanton much in the last 3 or 4 innings….

  212. Brian (219 comments)

Your favorite reliever is going to come in and save the day…

  213. Brian (219 comments)

Wow…just because Thomas jumps out of the way doesn’t mean the pitch isn’t a strike….

  214. Brian (219 comments)

    Grrrrr…..

  215. Brian (219 comments)

    This sucks….

  216. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    Morrow to AAA!

  217. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    I can’t take this…

  218. Brian (219 comments)

We gotta start giving Felix some run support….

  219. angrybeltre (41 comments)

We gotta find a consistent set up guy. Felix can go 8, but he shouldn’t have to.

  220. Brian (219 comments)

Sucks that Felix is going to actually get the loss in this game if we don’t come back…

  221. angrybeltre (41 comments)

If the M’s had put up some offense this year he’d be on the verge of 5-0

  222. Jon Shields (451 comments)

yay Sexson is due up this inning…

  223. Brian (219 comments)

This really has put a damper on my day….

  224. Jon Shields (451 comments)

tell me about it.. punch to the gut.

  225. Jon Shields (451 comments)

    on to cleveland…

  226. angrybeltre (41 comments)

    there’s another team that’s underachieving….

  227. Brian (219 comments)

Yeah…they had one 5 straight until Wang shut them out today…
