by Jon Shields ~ April 25th, 2008
April 25 - Miguel Batista vs. Dana Eveland
April 26 - Erik Bedard vs. Justin Duchscherer
April 27 - Felix Hernandez vs. Joe Blanton
Game 1 players to watch:
Conquering hero(s): Ichiro (.326 lifetime against Oakland), Raul Ibanez (14 career homers against Oakland, t-2nd for most against a single team), Yuni Betancourt (.297 lifetime against Oakland), Richie Sexson (slugging .585 against pitchers of Eveland’s style) and, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, Willie Bloomquist (2 career homers against Oakland, his most against any one team).
Achilles’ heal(s): Miguel Batista (5.23 ERA against Oakland)
Game 2 players to watch:
Conquering hero(s): Ichiro (.333 against Duchsherer [24 AB]; I think we’ll see his name here quite a bit)
Achilles’ heal(s): Just about everyone else: Beltre, Sexson, Betancourt, Johjima, Vidro, Lopez and Ibanez (combined 8/33 [.242] against Duchsherer)
Game 3 players to watch:
Conquering hero: Felix Hernandez (6-2, 2.10 ERA vs. Oakland), Jose Vidro (.357 career hitter against Blanton), Yuni Betancourt (.946 OPS lifetime against Blanton), Kenji Johjima (.346 average lifetime facing Blanton)
Achilles’ heal: Richie Sexson and Brad Wilkerson (hitting just .167 vs. Blanton)

Not looking so good so far…
2 April 25th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
We should have taken Thomas
3 April 25th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
Felix vs. Blanton should be a good one on Sunday……and Miggy can’t throw strikes…
4 April 25th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
I agree….I wanted us to go get Thomas pretty bad.
5 April 25th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
At least the next 2 games should be wins
6 April 25th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
You’d think so but who knows what could happen…WOW this is getting ugly. Is Miggy even going to make it out of the inning?
7 April 25th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Rick Ankiel style meltdown
8 April 25th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
I can’t believe he got out of the inning only giving up 3 runs…
9 April 25th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
It’s fitting that Thomas actually gets a hit and RBI against us. Watch him homer later on. Did any of you read how Thomas said Seattle didn’t know if he fit on the team with Vidro there? I couldn’t belive that when I read it, and luckily I was baffled enough by the Kenji thing that I didn’t post a mini rant about it.
Did we really have to give up 3 runs in the first? Hasn’t Batista seen the stats when we’re behind? And what hapened to his secret new method to pitching??
10 April 25th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
Wow, I can’t believe that Seattle would want to keep Vidro over acquiring Frank Thomas. That just seems ridiculous to me.
And Batista pitched about as well in the 1st as I could have. Although I might have a better breaking ball than Batista.
11 April 25th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
Maybe we can get some of this back right here…
12 April 25th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
at least the hitting looks good so far…
would look better with Thomas instead of Vidro
13 April 25th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
I’m doing the MLB.com pitch-by-pitch… not as cool as TV. ha.
14 April 25th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
Yeah, following the game on the internet just isn’t as fun as watching on TV. I don’t think that was a strike…
15 April 25th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Way to be patient out there Vidro…
16 April 25th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
chippin away…
17 April 25th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
I bet Batista doesn’t make it out of this inning…
18 April 25th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
Stick a fork in him…
19 April 25th, 2008 at 7:51 pm
RA Dickey could come in handy about now.
Someone tell me 1 good reason why Seattle hasn’t DFA’d Baek.
20 April 25th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
Uhhhhhhhhhh……ya got me…..
21 April 25th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
Jon, I don’t know about Baek, but if Batista really is hurt we’ll see Dickey again real soon.
22 April 25th, 2008 at 7:56 pm
As I mentioned I’m not watching the game, just the pitch-by-pitch. What the hell happened to Batista? Did he do something noteable or just “tweak” something?
Could explain his crappy pitching. We really don’t need this injury if it’s serious.
23 April 25th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
Niehaus seemed to think he was hurt. Before he got pulled McLaren brought trainers with him to the mound. Something just definitely wasn’t right. He didn’t look comfortable at all.
24 April 25th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Nice to see you in here angrybeltre. Everyone click on his name, he’s got a pretty nice M’s site over there. A lot of info.
The pitch-by-pitch said ‘injuy delay’, so I assumed some trainers went out there.
Either that or McLaren is just rolling with a new crew.
25 April 25th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
I think he just tweaked something…They haven’t talked about it much since he left…Against a good hitting team we’d be down about 7 nothing…
Wow…Richie got a single…ONE THE 1ST PITCH!!
26 April 25th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
Geoff Baker says the word from the team is ‘mild right groin strain’
27 April 25th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
^fantastic… groin injuries can be really touchy.
28 April 25th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Hmmmm….I wonder if it’s severe enough where he’ll miss a start or two…
Johjima showing off the wheels….;)
29 April 25th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Come on Yuni…Time for your first HR of the year….
30 April 25th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
Yuni has more homers against the A’s than against any other club.. though it’s only 4
31 April 25th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
Well #5 right there would have been great…Now, lets see if Baek can hold the deficit at 3.
32 April 25th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
^to 2.
33 April 25th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Oh yeah….duh…..
34 April 25th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Well….looks like it might soon be a 3 run deficit…
35 April 25th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
So how long does Lopez keep this up?
36 April 25th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
I don’t know but I hope all season…He’s looking like he wants to prove his 2006 All-Star appearance wasn’t a fluke…
37 April 25th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
He’ll get there again too this year (as a reserve aka not voted in). I think he’s leading all 2B in RBI, or at least he was for a while.
38 April 25th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Yeah I think that he still is…He’s arguably been our best all-around hitter so far this year…
39 April 25th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
I know he’s leading in RBI’s for guys batting in the two hole…
40 April 25th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
^mm maybe that was the stat i heard.
41 April 25th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Wow….4 pitch inning…
42 April 25th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Yeah because Utley is most certainly leading in RBI’s for 2nd basemen overall…although Lopez might lead AL 2B
43 April 25th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
How much longer can we afford to have Vidro, Sexson and Johjima hitting back to back to back??
Seems like it makes it very hard to field a productive lineup with 3 guys that a struggling mightily all hitting one after another.
44 April 25th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
there– post finished. that’ll do for this series. I completely forgot about it.
45 April 25th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Nice…I like that set up for the Series’ posts.
46 April 25th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Sexson needs to go now
47 April 25th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
At least Baek is doing well
48 April 25th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
I’ve most definitely run out of patience for Sexson…
Baek has actually looked good this game…8 straight retired…
49 April 25th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
I am a huge Richie fan because he’s from the little town right next to mine and I liked him when he was pounding in Milwaukie, thus making me a supporter over the past couple years even when I shouldn’t be, but yeah he needs to go.
Somewhere I read the ideal situation where Clement is called up and DHs, Raul moves to 1B and Wlad takes over in the outfield with Richie being waived or traded. That’s starting to sound OK to me, I guess. Even though he kills the rallys, his raw power alone would be tough to part with, however.
50 April 25th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Wow….what a play by Suzuki…
And that situation sounds pretty good to me Jon…
51 April 25th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
I’m loving the scenario, too. But who do the M’s bring in to fix right? I can’t see Wilkerson ever becoming a good option, Willie either obviously.
52 April 25th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
Trade.. but who?
btw, I have this godawful feeling that Bavasi is going to trade Clement for some schmuck like Jason Bay.
53 April 25th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
Well, ideally Wlad would bounce back quickly from his injury and start knocking the cover off the ball down in AAA so we could call him up to play right…
12 straight for Baek and a 10 pitch inning….Now if we could just take away the 1st inning…
54 April 25th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Things would be so much easier if only Jeremy Reed could hit and keep himself healthy. Then Bavasi wouldn’t have to blow a lot of talent on a dumb trade.
55 April 25th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Come on Beltre!!!
56 April 25th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
By the way, Baek’s performance is helping the pen’s #’s…
57 April 25th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
come on vidro…….(shakes head, and thinks about Frank Thomas)….
58 April 25th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
come on keep the runs comin…
59 April 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
This would be an AWESOME time for #300…
60 April 25th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
WOW….that is not a strike on Sexson…
61 April 25th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
I’ll take it….now we need a hit to tie it…
62 April 25th, 2008 at 9:19 pm
We live and die by the sacrifice fly.
That should be our slogan.
63 April 25th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
So…we’ve only given up 3 hits but are down 4-3….Baek is looking great…If only he had started the game instead of Miggy…
64 April 25th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Blog note for all 2 or 3 people that may see this :D: You can get to the latest Series Thread by clicking the link in the “Navigation” menu. I’m going to make something more prominent over the weekend though.
65 April 25th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
What else you guys thinking for other gray nav. bars on the top?
66 April 25th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
If you guys are planning on doing more surveys a link to all the site survey results might be kinda cool…
67 April 25th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
4 for 4 for Lopez….He’s looking like an All-Star second baseman…I’m SO GLAD we didn’t give up on him…
68 April 26th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
I’m not sure what you’re asking.
69 April 26th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
We HAVE TO get a win tonight….We can’t afford to fall much farther back…
70 April 26th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
GAME 2 DISCUSSION STARTS HERE
I’m going to try and have numbers placed on the comments, so that I can make a note in the post that says “Game 2 discussion starts after comment #69″ or whatever.
71 April 26th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
ok I added a pic/link in the upper right-hand corner.
72 April 26th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
1-2-3 inning. Nice work by Bedard.
73 April 26th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Did he look good? I missed the top of the 1st.
74 April 26th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
he got Sweeney and Ellis to bite on nasty curves. It was pretty sweet.
75 April 26th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
i love how ichiro tracks flyballs. it’s like he’s trying to fool everyone on whether he’ll get it or not.
76 April 26th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Think the bats can come alive again tonight?
77 April 26th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
I’ve always thought that Ichiro often looks confused when tracking flyballs…
78 April 26th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
i don’t know.. most of the guys don’t have much success against Duchsherer, except for Ichiro and Norton.
79 April 26th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Bedard’s motion is looking really really deliberate. I’m not sure he’s 100%.
80 April 26th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Maybe we won’t need much the way Bedard is looking so far.
81 April 26th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
I always thought Bedard’s motion looked incredibly deliberate and slow…
82 April 26th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
His motion has always looked like that.
83 April 26th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Shows the confidence that McLaren has in Sexson….Norton is batting in front of him….
84 April 26th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
You’re probably right. I didn’t see him pitch much when he was in Baltimore, and I missed one of his starts this year.
85 April 26th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
Sexson has been batting 6th behind Vidro, so it’s no difference.
86 April 26th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
gotta protect the plate, richie…
87 April 26th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Well, generally when a guy comes in as a sub he doesn’t automatically take the same spot in the order…If they have an confidence in Sexson he’d bat higher when Vidro isn’t playing…
88 April 26th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
There’s a GIANT HOLE in the middle of our batting order….
89 April 26th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
Wilkerson was easily the dud move of the offseason. I just don’t get it.
90 April 26th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
Well, I would rather have Norton starting over Vidro anyway, and I think Norton is certainly better suited for the 5-hole than Vidro is, so it’s not really a typical situation. If Bloomquist was hitting in front of Sexson then you have a point.
91 April 26th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Freddy Garcia? for the trivia?
92 April 26th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
At what point do we move Yuni up in the order so we don’t have 3 easy outs in the middle of the order?
I know have Yuni in the 9 hole creates a dynamic when Ichiro follows but right now I’d put Yuni higher so we don’t have 3 nearly guaranteed outs consecutively…
93 April 26th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
What was the trivia question? I missed it…
94 April 26th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
92 MPH on that strikeout fastball by Bedard.. I think that’s the fastest he’s hit all year. That’s encouraging. He had been in the high-80s before the DL stint.
95 April 26th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
I think it was something like “what Mariner starter recorded the most wins in his first season?” or something like that. I dunno if that means in their rookie season, or in their first stint with the club or whatever. I believe Freddy has the rookie record at 17.
96 April 26th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
nice Bedard!
Wilkerson and Sexson must go
97 April 26th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Richie is off to a great start???…..Mariners All Access just lost all credibility….
98 April 26th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Richie did do a good job deceiving everybody until a couple weeks ago during that stretch were he was getting walked like crazy.
99 April 26th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
^true
100 April 26th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
WOW….Jamie Burke is REALLY REALLY SLOW….
101 April 26th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
you gotta love Yuni
102 April 26th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
I would pay big money to see a race around the bases between Burke, Vidro, Johjima and maybe Sexson.
I <3 Yu-Bet
103 April 26th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
That a baby!
Now lets get a few more….
104 April 26th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
Rajai Davis has the arm of a 12 yr old
105 April 26th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
where would we be without ichiro…
106 April 26th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I’d pay just to see Richie lap the bases by himself. Extra money if he’d attempt one of his awkward slides home.
107 April 26th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
Maybe throw a couple pitchers in that race also….Like Rhodes, Felix and JJ…
108 April 26th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
Duch has a great move to first. Ichi could have been called out on either of those
109 April 26th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
I want to see Silva in that race
110 April 26th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Yeah I forgot Silva….He might pull up the rear….
111 April 26th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
I honestly think Ichiro could round the bases one and a half times before Silva, Burke, Johjima and Vidro could round them once…
112 April 26th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
haha They would all beat Thomas
113 April 26th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
Yeah probably Thomas defines slow….Although if he had to race someone he could probably just beat any challenger to submission first and then walk the length of the race….
….And Thomas proves my point as I type…
114 April 26th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
58 pitches through 4… kind of alot for a no hitter
115 April 26th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Richie cheated a bit on that one, but it worked out. Way to turn on it, Richie!
(haha he looks completely winded at second)
116 April 26th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Come on Wilkerson….knock em in….
117 April 26th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
Richie really does have to tuck his arms in for most hits…that guy is just too big to look natural playing baseball…
118 April 26th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
I’ll take it….
119 April 26th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
better lucky than good!
120 April 26th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
that will work…
121 April 26th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Yuni is on fire tonight.
122 April 26th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Just found a great read on Jeff Clement’s batspeed. Very interesting. Makes me like him even more.
123 April 26th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Bedard is making me rethink my recent condemning of the trade for him….
124 April 26th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
Bedard is argueably the best pitcher in the american league when he’s healthy. We got a great player, but it’s silly for us to expect more than 27-28 starts from him.
Looks like he’s losening up and turning back farther in his windup. Good sign.
125 April 26th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
300th double!
126 April 26th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
I know Bedard has the potential but I just don’t think he can stay very healthy…And Sherrill and Jones have PUNISHED us this year….
127 April 26th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
If and when Wlad comes up, we’ll feel better about giving Jones away. Sherrill really has dominated in the early going though.
128 April 26th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Nice….Norton coming through with some insurance….
129 April 26th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
Sherrill has only dominated against us. What do you expect him to blow saves. When a guy is the closer he is going to come in when they have the lead so he’s going to get saves if the team is winning which they are.
130 April 26th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
We could have a great outfield in a few years. Wlad-Ichiro-Saunders maybe and then after Ichiro retires perhaps Halman will be ready. We have some pretty good talent at the position.
131 April 26th, 2008 at 7:56 pm
Bedard is the best we’ve seen him this year. A little wild, but this is the guy we paid for.
132 April 26th, 2008 at 8:01 pm
Good game Bedard
133 April 26th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
Brian LaHair is playing LF in Tacoma today. I dunno if he typically does that, but maybe Seattle is looking for other outfield options outside of Reed and Wlad.
Wlad still isn’t in the lineup, btw.
134 April 26th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Oh boy….Here we go…
135 April 26th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
Rhodes scares me still, even though he’s been overall effective.
136 April 26th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Rhodes just isn’t the same without his earrings…
137 April 26th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Thats Interesting on Lahair. He has played 4 games in the OF before this year.
138 April 26th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
Woooo Arthur is still diamond studded! Tight spot.. *sigh of relief
“The old man from Texas”.. haha
139 April 26th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
“The old man from Texas getting it done!”….I bet Arthur is gonna love when he hears that call…
140 April 26th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
There are a whole lot of A’s I’ve never heard of in the game right now…
141 April 26th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
I knew Yuni was going to get picked off over there. He didn’t look comfortable.
142 April 26th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
nice throw by the guy who caught the homer
143 April 26th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
I’m still not sold on Morrow. He didn’t look good. He relied on throwing his fastball down the middle once he lost the contol on his breaking stuff. If he threw that same pitch to Thomas 5 years ago it would have been hit 500 feet.
Rhodes I’m coming around on, though.
144 April 26th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
I love me some Jose Lopez…
145 April 26th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
he is on fire
146 April 26th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Morrow just needs some more time to refine himself…You gotta remember he was pitching for Cal this time two years ago….
147 April 26th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Exactly. He should be in the minor leagues.
148 April 26th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Norton for full-time DH!
149 April 26th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Wow, Bloomquist pinch hitting. That shows how bad Wilkerson is, no matter who is pitching.
150 April 26th, 2008 at 8:38 pm
….and I officially nominate Norton to be our new DH…
151 April 26th, 2008 at 8:38 pm
agreed
152 April 26th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Vidro will be in Sunday, at least he should. He kills off of Blanton. But Norton should get some more playing time.
153 April 26th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
The pitcher Braden has a big-ass fro.
154 April 26th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
What position does Norton play?
155 April 26th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Because I’m guessing he should be getting some time in RF also….
156 April 26th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
1B primarily, and he can get by at 3B (i think) and the corner outfield spots. He’s probably a liability anywhere but 1st though.
157 April 26th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Hell….give him some time at first if he can continue hitting when he gets PT…
158 April 26th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Man.. Putz is NEVER this wild. Just rusty, I imagine. Good thing we got that insurance.
159 April 26th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Is this now a save opportunity since the tying run is at the plate?
160 April 26th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
Must be because he’s growing a moustache…
I dont believe it’s a save opportunity until another run scores, but I don’t know for certain.
161 April 26th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Now it’s a save opportunity…
162 April 26th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
Oh good, I have Putz on one of my fantasy teams.. haha
Just playin.. he needs to end this right now.
163 April 26th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
Wow….seems like he’s getting squeezed a little bit by the ump….
….and now a base hit ties it….
164 April 26th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
That’ll help a lot…Slam the door with a K JJ
165 April 26th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Did they give the Moose blonde hair? Is that what I just saw..?
OK one more. STRIKE ‘EM OUT, JJ!!!!
166 April 26th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
It did seem like the hair on the moose was a little bit lighter….
THAT’S A STRIKE DAMNIT!!!!
167 April 26th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
Wow….I can’t believe what I’m seeing…
168 April 26th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
PHEW!!!
And yes, the Moose has blonde hair….
169 April 26th, 2008 at 9:05 pm

170 April 26th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Heart attack…
M’s needed this win.
171 April 26th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
I can’t wait to watch Felix. Him and Bedard are a fun 1-2 to watch.
172 April 26th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Jen Mueller is awful.
Angels lose!
173 April 26th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Ah yes….Happy Felix day tomorrow everybody
174 April 26th, 2008 at 10:25 pm

175 April 27th, 2008 at 7:09 am
GAME 3 DISCUSSION STARTS HERE
day game!!
176 April 27th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Today’s lineup reflects poorly on the coaching staff, in my opinion. Greg Norton is in again, which is fine because he may be one of the better hitters right now, but he shouldn’t be in for Vidro. If you see the post above, Vidro hits .357 against Blanton, while Sexson and Wilkerson (two guys Norton could sub in for) are hitting just .167. Vidro needs to play on matchups like that if he’s ever going to break out of his slump, so it’s puzzling to me. Sure, Sexson or Wilkerson could have a great game, but I think you need to look at the numbers when platooning. You’d think someone would see that..?
177 April 27th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Felix is looking SICK so far….He’s got his nasty stuff….
178 April 27th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
And as far as today’s lineup….I don’t think McLaren looks at numbers PERIOD….
179 April 27th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Just sit back and watch the show…..
180 April 27th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Felix is amazing today.
YUNI!!
181 April 27th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
Any chance this game is done by 3 o’clock?
182 April 27th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Could be.. it’s breezing by.
I think Felix is a legit candidate or even front runner for Cy Young. Right now Cliff Lee is the only one better, and I don’t see him keeping it up.
183 April 27th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Chien Ming-Wang might have an argument for Cy Young too…5-0 and he plays for the Yankees….
A little trouble in paradise here…
184 April 27th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
KKKKKKK
185 April 27th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
ahh yeah I always forget about Wang because he’s not the dominate type. I think the King can do it though.
Another full count… this is getting old quick.
186 April 27th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
KKKKKKKK
187 April 27th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Another K! Amazing!
188 April 27th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Wow….it’s like Felix is throwing a whiffle ball out there….
189 April 27th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Good to see a decent outing from Blanton…He’s on my fantasy team
190 April 27th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
I have Felix on one of my teams
191 April 27th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Lucky you…The BBT league is my first time doing fantasy baseball….
…and I’m getting my ass kicked so far…
192 April 27th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
BBT league is my first time too, but I’m in another league that is a total joke (just 6 teams.. true “fantasy” teams). You’re middle of the pack at least.
Jack Cust is helping us out today.
193 April 27th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Well, I’m middle of the pack right now but I’m getting my ass kicked this week so I’ll probably be in the bottom 4 tomorrow…
194 April 27th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
I’m about to get my first loss so far.
195 April 27th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
I’m about to move to 1-3…
196 April 27th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Felix el Rey!!!!!!
197 April 27th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
x10!!!!!
198 April 27th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Wow….just wow….
KKKKKKKKKK
199 April 27th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Felix is looking like the pitcher that every Mariner fan has dreamed he could be for the last three years…
200 April 27th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
he’s striking out a lot more this year it seems. haven’t looked at the ratios, just guessing. but it seems like a lot more.
201 April 27th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Hmmmm….is something wrong with our $100 million dollar roof???….
Yeah, it does seem like Felix has been striking out more people this year. I attribute it to the development of his nasty change up…
202 April 27th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
wow this sucks
I cant even watch Felix’s domination because of stupid local blackouts
203 April 27th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
Your missing a hell of a show…
…From both pitcher really but Felix has been incredible…
204 April 27th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Uh oh….this could be big trouble…
205 April 27th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
C’mon one more K felix!
206 April 27th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
oh no.. and morrow’s going to probably come in and blow it. double play c’mon!!!
207 April 27th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
We need #1 here BAD….
208 April 27th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Son of a bitch….
209 April 27th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
what a waste of a good outing..
210 April 27th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Yeah….he looked so good for 7 innings….
211 April 27th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
And we haven’t even touched Blanton much in the last 3 or 4 innings….
212 April 27th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Your favorite reliever is going to come in and save the day…
213 April 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Wow…just because Thomas jumps out of the way doesn’t mean the pitch isn’t a strike….
214 April 27th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Grrrrr…..
215 April 27th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
This sucks….
216 April 27th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
Morrow to AAA!
217 April 27th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
I can’t take this…
218 April 27th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
We gotta start giving Felix some run support….
219 April 27th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
We gotta find a consistent set up guy. Felix can go 8, but he shouldn’t have to.
220 April 27th, 2008 at 3:16 pm
Sucks that Felix is going to actually get the loss in this game if we don’t come back…
221 April 27th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
If the M’s had put up some offense this year he’d be on the verge of 5-0
222 April 27th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
yay Sexson is due up this inning…
223 April 27th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
This really has put a damper on my day….
224 April 27th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
tell me about it.. punch to the gut.
225 April 27th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
on to cleveland…
226 April 27th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
there’s another team that’s underachieving….
227 April 27th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
Yeah…they had one 5 straight until Wang shut them out today…
