Legacy of Mariners Fans?
by Patrick Whealton ~ February 13th, 2008
Before we move over to the new site, I want to know what our viewers think the legacy of the typical Mariners fan is so that we can design the site with the fans in mind. We know that Yankees and Red Sox fans are known to be loud and obnoxious. We know that A’s fans can be awfully annoying and they don’t pack the Colisseum very much. So what defines a Mariners fan. What are we known for?
With your help, we can make sure that the new site reflects Mariner Nation!

An intelligent (possibly biggest) blogging community and alot of casual fans who would have trouble naming more than 10 current Mariners.

M’s fans hold grudges as long as anyone, just ask A-Rod;
are way too nice to slacking players for too long;
and have horrible garlic breath.

Mariner fans are the type of fans that need the scoreboard to tell them when to clap.

We are somewhat refined fans…we are kind of quiet at times, but if the game is really going good, we almost get rambunctious. We love rally fries and should have a youtube video somewhere that involves putz coming into the game and the crowd going bonkers for him

We have a combo of intelligent die hards and a lot of casual no-nothings.
I agree that many “Mariner fans are the type of fans that need the scoreboard to tell them when to clap.”

A bunch of diehard fans and a WHOLE LOT of fairweather fans (like all Seattle sports fans)…
